Abstract

Culture media intended for use in special tests for detection and identification of Edwardslella have been developed. In field studies on reptiles in the zoo the proposed media were found to have advantages in comparison with the known media. Satisfactory results were also obtained with Taylor's medium (xylose-lysine-desoxycholate-agar).
